New Ranger-ish feats for review

First Post
Basically, these were all designed as higher-level feats for a Ranger to take, but a few I realized were more than appropriate for any class to take. I'm looking for constructive comments; I don't care if you say they suck, as long as you provide reasoning. :)

Slayer
Prerequisites: Favored Enemy, BAB +7
Benefit: A ranger with the Slayer feat does +1d6 damage to his favored enemy per bonus instead of +1. That is, a tenth level ranger would do +3d6 damage to his primary favored enemy instead of +3, +2d6 damage to his secondary FE, and +1d6 to his tertiary FE.

Bounty Hunter
Prerequisites: Favored Enemy, BAB +7
Benefit: A ranger with the Bounty Hunter feat may choose to deal subdual damage to any favored enemy he has, without any penalty.

Chameleon
Prerequisites: Wilderness Lore +10
Benefit: Choose a terrain type as designated in the MM. The character may always take 10 on Hide checks in this terrain. This feat may be taken multiple times, one for each terrain type.

Determined Soul
Prerequisites: Fort Save +7
Benefit: The character may attempt a second saving throw one round later against any effect which causes a Fort save. This does not have any effect against damage-causing effects.

Determined Mind
Prerequisites: Will Save +7
Benefit: The character may attempt a second saving throw one round later against any effect which causes a Will save. This does not have any effect against damage-causing effects.

Determined Spirit
Prerequisites: Reflex Save +7
Benefit: The character may attempt a second saving throw one round later against any effect which causes a Reflex save. This does not have any effect against damage-causing effects.

Salutations,

Slayer- interesting idea, and I like the mechanic. It gives a big reason for people to continue to take ranger levels, but- having said that, would any ranger not take this? Instead of d6's, I would suggest just allowing a +hit for +dam trade- just since it shows the person will do consistantly better damage to their first chosen foe before their latters.

Bounty Hunty- I like it.

Chameleon- Hmm, unless there is going to be a lot of adventures in the ranger's chosen terrain, being able to take 10 only hide seems to be kind of weak. A couple of suggestions:

1) Allow them to take 10 for hide/spot/listen/move silently- it may seem like a lot, but it is only one terrain.

2) Make another feat that uses this one as a prerequisite- Ambush. If a hidden ranger surprises a foe their get some bonus (or perhaps a coup de grace attack.. though, I would have them have to study the foe for three rounds or so before hand).

Determines: The one for Will saves would be appealing, and maybe the Fort if I had a feat to burn and knew I would be facing a lot of poisons/undead. The reflex one would be avoided- since most reflex saves are one shots against damage/traps.

How about pulling them all into one feat- name up to you and with higher requirements. The second save is also made at a penalty of how much they missed it by the first time.

What does this do? Well, the feats as you describe them will make bad rolls in saving throws a bit less common- if not a lot less common. If they take a penalty by how much they failed, then it keeps the seriousness of a low roll, but still offers a second chance. If they only failed by a little amount, then it is not a big deal.

Argh, I don't know- just an idea. heh.

Good luck
FD
