Here is a new spell. Give me a your thoughts
Denmes Magical Siphon
Transmutation
Level: Sor/Wiz 3
Components: V, S, F
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: personal
Target: self
Duration: 1 rnd /level
Saving Throw: Fort negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes
Denmes was a very frugal mage who often found that his parties priest didn’t have quite enough healing to cover the front line combatants and him. He tried things like Vampiric Touch but found it got him in the middle of combat a little too often. So knowing that there was a little wasted energy in every spell he threw he decided to harness this waited energy to heal himself. While not as effective as most healing spells it does help in prolonged combats.
The spell allows the mage to tap the wasted energy in spells he cast. The round following the casting of the spell and for a number of rounds equal to their level they will be healed a number of points equal to any arcane spell levels they personally cast up to their full hit points. For example the Denmes has cast this spell last round. He is down 10HP. This round he cast a fireball, he will gain 3 points after casting and then will be down 7HP. He then casts Cone of Cold the next round. Now he is down 2 hp. His next round he casts Wall of Fire he is no longer down any HP. He will get no more benefit from the spell if he does receive another injury and casts more spells.
The focus for this spell are three gold ring connected parallel with each other.
