New super cuteness at the Treebore household

Yes, they are the ones I was thinking of.

Jacobs Sheep

The illustration on this site doesn't do the ones I once saw justice. Big wicked horns that I thought should be put on Orcus anytime someone draws him.

From what I have been told goat meat is the most widely eaten meat in the world. At least that isn't fished for. I believe I was told something in the neighborhood of 60 to 70% of the worlds population eat goats. I am als told they taste very similiar to deer. Not surprising to me seeing as to how closely related thye are.

A friend of mine is getting in to raising meat goats; goat meat is apparently significantly lower in fat than buffalo, and quite good for you. I think he said it's the leanest of all the red meats.

I thought I hadn't, but I love cheeses, and found out several of my favorites were made from goats milk.

I am also a fan of goat's milk products. The yogurt is great, and the cheeses can be simply stupendous! I had a neighbor who used to own a pair of "Togs" I believe, and those things cranked out so much milk that he had to share ... so I got free stuff sometimes. And I came to like it.

Yes, it is. Better than deer, for being lean. Not sure about taste.

1) I love goat cheese...and goat as an entree...- Sorry!

2) Those are some doggone cute little goats! Definitely NOT for eating! (At least, not all at once... ;) )
