New super cuteness at the Treebore household

The "cuteness" usually only lasts a couple of months. But with how small he is, I guess we will find out as the time goes by.

Plus when they are raised like this they are very similiar to dogs and other "domestic" pets.

He is even potty training.

Yes, a goat, potty training. Go figure. I had heard about it, but didn't believe it until I've watched this little guy, at two days of age, wanting to go outside to potty. 2 days of age.

He even holds his poop.

I am getting "shocked" by this little guy a lot. I never suspected a goat could be this smart. Especially at two days of age. Well, now 3.

Very nice sir - very nice. Isn't it amazing how they can already walk and frisk by the second day after birth while man takes a year and change before he can even begin to walk somewhat? :)

I'm sure the critter'll be chewing up everything in no time at all!

Well, he's a goat. While related to sheep, they are far less... dumb. Goats tend to run in smaller herds, usually live in more complicated terrain, and do more in the way of active defense agaisnt predators then their wolly relatives, so you'd expect a little more brain-power.

A lot of people say goats and sheep are stupid. I agree on sheep. I think the only way goats are stupid is about staying out of trouble. The trouble they get into shows a heck of a lot of intelligence. It just falls short of staying out of trouble.

He is to cute for words. I have a question how bug to these guys get when fully grown?

I would love to have some land and have some little critters like this. I really want a miniture horse.

Maybe one day.

They get up to my knee, when they are the Pygmy types. The dwarfs get a couple inches above my knee. So I would guess in the 18 to 24 inch range. There is a really good Pygmy Farm website that is out of Washington state if you want to learn more. I am far from an expert, those people have been doing this since 1968 and pretty much exclusively pygmy's.

I beleive they are also into mini horses.

So you may want to start inquiring, looking around, and learning, so your prepared when your able to fulfill your dream. So if you want to start, I'll post their website link for you.

Eli goes to his new home this weekend, to be a little boys Christmas present, and hopefully steady and reliable companion/friend for a good 10 to 15 years.

Please post the site I would enjoy loking around it and learning about these animals.

I am glad he is going to a good home. I used to breed love birds and cockatiels and hand feed the babies and I always worried a little bit about finding good homes for them.
