And Laserbeak is an Autobot now? How did that happen?

No. Better yet, don't tell me.

A moment of silence, please, for the Original Transformers.

Gone, but not forgotten.

Transformers:
Starscream: Now that Megatron has, how shall we say, Depparted. I nominate myself as the new leader.

Scavenger: Wait! the constructicons form Devastator- the most powerful Robot. We should rule!

Soundwave: Soundwave superior- Constructicons Inferior...

Scavenger: Who are you calling inferior? Nobody would listen to an uncharismatic Boar like you!

Rumble: Hey! Nobody calls Soundwave Uncrustamatic!

Frenzy:Yeah! Let's kick tailgate...
And after all is said and done, Starscream came out of that royal rumble with the crown. I think that was enough to show that he either had enough sense to stay out of a fight- or was an opportunistic bastard (exactly the way he scrapped Megatron in the first place...

As for who the coolest Robot was- definitely Grimlock. Remember the episode when he was super smart. And gave that up because he enjoyed the simple pleasures of eating and fighting... now there is the life....

Ain't nothing like the real thing, baby.

And yeah, Transformers: Armada was a puke-fest. Even though I'm a bigtime Transformers fan (I even buy some of the toys), I was SOOO disappointed with that show. So I voted for the original. Though Beast Wars was a SPECTACULAR show! Beast Machines, on the other hand, was an abomination.

Gotta say, though. If they were to ever relaunch G1 (I.E. Same characters from the original, with as many of the voice actors from the original as possible. ESPECIALLY for Prime and Megatron), with the writers from Beast Wars, and animated by Mainframe, that would be the ultimate Transformers show, ever. Anyone watch X-Men: Evolution? That's written by one of the Beast Wars writers, and that show is easily better than most prime time shows. So if those 2 guys were to ever be hired for a new Transformers show with the original characters, they'd easily put out a show better than most everything on tv right now.

Of course, doing something like rehiring the 2 most successful writers for Transformers is something that Hasbro just can't think of on their own.

I was especially disappointed, because I had read two issues of the Dreamwave comic first. The TF:A comic is grim, gritty, well-plotted, and incredibly non-Pokemon. The Minicons all talked, and have an amazing amount of personality. My girlfriend commented that she empathized more with them in one issue than many comics characters she's read for years. It's been one preview and two regular issues, and they're STILL ON CYBERTRON. Check it out. It's the way the cartoon should have been. I dropped the show after the pilot, but I'm still reading the comic.

I am a long-time transfan (do some searches and you can find my fanfic...it's written by 'Lizard'), and my opinions are:

Is it erotic?

Everyone knows the best fanfic is erotic.

So, you like erotic fiction from "trans" fans? I didn't know kobolds were into that kind of thing.

I was especially dissappointed with the voice of Optimus.

Especially considering the fact that Peter Cullen (the original and true voice of Optimus Prime) was doing the announcuing for the series on Toonami. He goes to conventions and loves the fans of Transformers, and apparently loved being Optimus.

Hehe, looks like overwhelmingly for the older version......of course just about everyone on this board is probably mid 20s or older. Wonder if you would get the same result asking pre-teens.
