New to PF

Starting at level 1 but gonna go 20 for sure, maybe higher.

After I get a performance up in the first round of combat, I can spend a swift in the following rounds for the extra damage on attacks. My idea was that it would help me keep up with the other dps when I'm not slinging spells.

Is there a better option or do you think I should just replace it with either of the two other feats I was thinking?

Edit: Also, is it true that if I put 5 ranks in Sense Motive and then later used Versatile Performance to cover that check with Perform: Sing or Oratory, that I can relocate the ranks in Sense Motive to somewhere else?

Early on, you'd be better off spending these feats on making yourself competent at range combat. You need Point Blank, Precise Shot, AND Rapid Shot before your archery is anything to write home about. Arcane Strike's alright, but it's a lower priority feat.

Also, check for feats that got changed in Pathfinder - Lingering Performance is one, for example.

RAW, you can't retrain the skill points, but it's a pretty reasonable house rule. Ask your DM.

Hey thanks for the response but I think I found my answer about the Versatile Performance in another thread. My DM's allowing me to respend the skill points after showing him the post by James Jacob.

Reworked my feats again, what do you guys think of this?

Words of Creation + Nymph's Kiss to buff my Bardic Music performances and cha-based skill checks

Point Blank Shot + Precise Shot + Deadly Aim to shoot from ranged

WF: Longsword + Dazzling Display: Longsword + Power Attack so that if something gets close (or if I find myself alone) to me I debuff them with Dazzling Display and so I can still hold my own in melee if I have to

And Arcane Strike + Knowledge Devotion to buff both my bow and sword damage and keep up with the other dps.

Get Song of the Heart at level 3 if possible (from Eberron Campaign Setting). Words of Creation, Nymph's Kiss (take at 1st level so you don't miss out on skill points!), and Knowledge Devotion are probably the strongest feats there.

Course, you'll also need the 3 archer feats if you want to do ranged. :)

Downright dirty trick for making the most of PF's "rounds" of performance per day: Get the Harmonizing enhancement (+1 equivalent) from Magic Item Compendium. Use up one round of performance, then have the weapon take over for 10 free rounds of performance before it dies off. I personally like attaching Harmonizing to a Crystal Echo Blade (also in MIC), but can go on a bow just as well, I think.
