I mean...to be fair...from what I've seen of these leaks and ENW's "coverage" of it...it mostly comes down to people posting information and if Morrus feels the desire he will edit the post so it's under his name instead of the OP. Sometimes the OP will be edited a few times to add additional information to it, but not always. And that seems to be the extent of the "news" on the site.Wow, it’s amazing how a few snarky foxy ENWorlders, can (temporarily?) evoke a souring of my view of ENW News community as a whole.
Dang folks, the OP was just a pretty simple news scoop. Morrus’ crack team of newshounds are welcome to do with it as they will.
Dude, you have to be a super duper VIP .....
There's no way I could get a venti latte that cheap!
What, she's not going to give us a morsel and then tell us to wait until Wednesday?
Thanks Xamnam!
I will be waiting on their next report, as I encourage every else to.
Good to know, thanks.Linda Codega goes by they/them
As I was saying in another thread, you people pay way too much for your coffees...
I, personally, don't drink coffee. I'm a tea person. Which is why I had to research the price of a Starbucks Venti. As I was saying in another thread, you people pay way too much for your coffees...
I think that if you drink 24 ounces of espresso you might have a heart attack...I, personally, don't drink coffee. I'm a tea person. Which is why I had to research the price of a Starbucks Venti.
But, we might note that a Venti is 24 ounces. I don't know how big the coffees on that menu are to compare. If they are an actual cup, then the prices are similar.
I would count “firing employees who speak out about the situation” under “things WotC does,” personally.Agreed.
Also, I'm interested in what WotC do. I find this ongoing soap opera about the internal goings on within the company somewhat distasteful, to be honest.
I mean, yeah, Twitter is awful, but if it’s where the news is breaking, it’s where the news is breaking. We can certainly suggest to the people breaking it that they use some other outlet instead, but if we want to stay informed we’ve got to go where the news is.But you've got to feed the hype train while people still care!
Hey, by the way.... we're still linking to TWITTER?????
I thought I heard something about someone at Twitter doing all sorts of bad stuff to their employees. Like firing them with a promise of severance, and then ... wait for it ... REFUSING TO HONOR THE CONTRACT.
Any outrage about that? Can we stop linking and giving any impressions to that company? For more actual, demonstrated, non-hyped harm to real people?
If she hadn't heard anything she could just say "sorry, I can't confirm this with my sources."
That is a pointedly different sentiment than they are actively choosing to communicate. If they hadn't heard anything they could just say "sorry, I can't confirm this with my sources."

I gotta say, all of these defenses of various things I've been reading remind me a lot of a friend back in the day who used to say, "Yeah, I know that place is awful, but where else am I going to get that yummy chicken sandwich?"
But it is quite natural, is it not? There are also many here criticizing WotC but saying they like D&D products and so will keep buyng them. Not what I'm going to do, but still a reasonable stance, IMHO.I gotta say, all of these defenses of various things I've been reading remind me a lot of a friend back in the day who used to say, "Yeah, I know that place is awful, but where else am I going to get that yummy chicken sandwich?"
You can buy food anywhere let alone chicken sandwiches.I gotta say, all of these defenses of various things I've been reading remind me a lot of a friend back in the day who used to say, "Yeah, I know that place is awful, but where else am I going to get that yummy chicken sandwich?"
