D&D 5E (2024) Next issue of Game Informer will have details on the two upcoming Forgotten Realms books

Wow, nice. 16 Backgrounds in the PHB, and 75 Feats...

Thst means there will get a lit of Feats thst were not tested, even if they just mean more Origin Feats (only 20 or those in the PHB).

This is a major expansion of options.
One note, idk if there’s more feats in this than the core books. I think they just meant more Backgrounds.

Other way around from WHT they have laid down: the 5 mini Settjngs are regional Gazateers in the DM book, not the Heroes gujde.
That isn’t what the article says.

Adventures in Faerûn acts as the companion book to that player volume, and its focus is precisely what the title suggests. This dungeon master-targeted product is chock-full of over 50 adventures, some lengthy, and some built as extremely short one-offs that can be picked up and played with little to no prep.

“We divide the Forgotten Realms up into 10 regions, from arcane empires like Thay, Aglarond or Rashemen, right up to the far cold reaches of the north,” Tondro says. Each of those “10 regions has its own flavor of fantasy adventure, and we illustrate that with the one-page adventures.” These shorter adventures are cleverly constructed, with easy-to-read tabs that tell you the suggested level alongside the very briefest description to communicate the tone you might be looking for in your evening’s play session.”

50 page general Gazateer for all of Faerûn...actually pretty doable.
I interpreted that as 50 pages of general, non-geographic information of the setting. After gods and equipment, there wouldn't be much room left for much of an overview of the setting! Granted, that might just be basic info for the players, and the actual gazateer is in the DM book. With 480 pages to fill, I imagine the actual geographic info will be fairly extensive.

EDIT, subsequent post seems to confirm that full geographic details will be in the DM book

OK, so then the 50 pages of Adventures are different than the 5 mini settings, which were already confirmed to be detailed Gazateera in the DM book.

Ok, so the full gazateer is on the DM book, covering even regions outside the five deep-dive areas we already know about. Cool!

I took it to mean thwt gods and equipment would be a part of the 50 pages: I doubt we will get anything near SCAG's extensive treatment of the gods

The 50 pages in the Heroes guide is on general Fearun stuff players need to know. The gods, factions, equipment, and such. It won’t be full Gazetteer of areas or regions.

The 50+ adventures in the Adventures guide are one-pagers like the DMG. They take up 50ish pages of the 240, so plenty of space for monsters, magic items, and the 5-mini settings to be fully detailed.
