It’s improved but not hugely. They got Royal Envoy from SCAG but at level 3 (it works more like the playtest version) and the Rally Cry but renamed. And it does some more healing. So, what they got in the SCAG...
Or was it improved?
Definitely looks like it! Alias has replaced the boob window armor, unsurprisingly.View attachment 413019
So, that's Alias and Dragonbait fighting Moander, right?
Just read on reddit, that it now only affects cha mod persons and on 30ft and only 1/short rest. So it is somehow worse than using the SCAG subclass with 5.24 rules...It’s improved but not hugely. Well, that's a positive for saurials!!!Definitely looks like it! Alias has replaced the boob window armor, unsurprisingly.
I wonder if the phaerimm, sharn, and shadovar may appear in this supplement?

You don't like saurials? That is very possible.
How does that benifit Saurials? I know it's worse for the rest of us.

That art is INSANELY awesome!!Many thanks for all the information! It looks full of good material and I'm very excited for the book.
Interesting line-up of factions. Promoting the Cult of the Dragon to full PC faction is a fascinating choice -- they're not only villainous, like the Zhentarim, but they're insane. One branch wants to have dracoliches rule the world. The other branch wants Tiamat to rule the world. Last time they quasi-succeeded, Tiamat ate them.
Anyhow, I love the Renown system and I am happy it is being used.
42? Interesting number. The SCAG had around 45, I think, and it included a handful that I don't think many people will miss (Apologies to any fans of Gwaeron Windstrom).
Do we think we'll also get a write-up on non-human deities?
Don't care at all about Spirit Dragons. Nice for their fans, wherever they are.
There are the drow we all desperately wanted. Still would have preferred to see them in the MM rather than taking up real estate here, but I feel that way about whatever generic enemies they include in the Bestiary.
Good to see Manshoon again. I hope for some good art. All the adventure text describes him as this handsome angelic faced man, and the art we get for him always looks either generic or silly.
And Sammaster! My personal favorite deranged icon, glad to see he's back. Hope to see his melted face in full glory. I really liked this piece of art a game tie-in a few years ago, he was riding a dracolich over Elminster (I'll paste it in a spoiler tag below).
The credit is to Wang Jiangxi, whose art can be found here. He also did some pieces on the Lady of Pain.
Interesting that the Dracolich seems to have reflected the 2025 redesign of the Black Dragon before the MM came out, which may indicate Sammaster's redesign here was also done in conjunction with WotC.

OK, do we now know that the AG has:There will a magic item section, so let's give it about a third of the length of section in the DMG at around 30 pages. If we give 15 pages to the 5 mini-settings, that's 75 pages. That gives us around 100 pages left. If the book is this length, I very much lean towards much of that balance being taken up as a gazeteer of the 10 big regions they mentioned in the article.
It's kind of interesting how we thought this book would be the bigger of the two. From the Amazon description, it looks like the general setting gazateer is actually in HoF, which brings down the page count here and adds to the other one.OK, do we now know that the AG has:
- 5 settings, each with a Gazetteer
- 50+ pick up and play adventures
- 37 new monsters and villains
- Lost Library of Lethchauntos: an introductory adventure for characters level 1 through 3 and customizable for all settings that you can use to jumpstart your adventure
- 12 new magic items
- Bastions unique to each setting
We have 50 pages of mini Adventures, and the 5 mini-Settings are about 30-40 pages each, so let us say ~140 pages give or take 10. That means ~190 pages there for the five Gazaters and quick run Adventures. A full Level 1-3 Adventure isn't huge, but can still be 20-30 pages give or take, doup to 220 pages. Rising from the Last War had 40 Monster statblocks in just shy of 40 pages, dunno how art and formatting might compare but for simplicity let us say 40 pages give or take. That gets us up to 260, and I begin to suspect the numbers might be a bit lower than my above estimates giving us all content advertised in 256 pages.
