It's kind of interesting how we thought this book would be the bigger of the two. From the Amazon description, it looks like the general setting gazateer is actually in HoF, which brings down the page count here and adds to the other one.
Yeah, if they add up to 480 together, I think that still puts the Heroes book at 224 pages, which ia still a fair bit longer than SCAG.

So with the Heroes book we get:

- 8 powerful new subclasses

- New spells and the all-new Circle Magic [19 enew pells, per Beyond]

- 8 classic and emerging Factions

- Primer on the 42 Gods and Renown support

- New feats and backgrounds [18 new Backgrounds, 34 new Feats]

- Catalog of regional equipment [3 magic items and 12 other items, per Beyond]

Now, this material seems to leave room for a pretty good general player facing Gazateer of Faerƻn (as opposed to the focused DM tool Gazateers in the other book), which I think could all fit in 224 pages.

So, there are 48 deities detailed in SCAG, and only 42 here, so six are being relegated. SCAG had a lot of minor demigods in the list, so I imagine those are going to be the first on the metaphorical chopping block.
It seems the ones here are getting some more crunch, maybe a bit of Theros-srtle based on the Rek own comments and the suggestions of player rules to become Cbosen.

If this is the breakdown for both books, I will be delighted. The player-facing gazateer is my only worry, but there should be plenty of pages to give a decent overview. It's really sounding like a pretty sold release.

My hope is that for example Gods that serve more powerful Gods like the Seldarine for Corellon Larethion get Renown with him for service to to their Gods. So like they get included as servants of the Greater Gods. Sune with Sharess, Llirra, and Tymora, Dark Seldarine under Lolth, Archdevils like Glasya under Asmodeus, etc...,

It is also worth noting thwt the Beyond pre-order page for the bundle doesn't just show what the two hardcovers have combined, but comparing what each has alone you can see that it includes what ia in the DLC books, too:

  • 8 Species, all DLC exclusive
  • 20+ Backgrounds, so at least 3 more
  • 50+ Feats, so at least 14 more
  • 60+ Monsters, so at leaat 22 more
  • 20+ Magic items, so at least 18 more
  • 15+ Items, so at least 4 more
  • 70+ maps, so around 20 more
