well, if the offensive line is good then he might have a chance to be duplicate Carson Palmer's development, With a good ground game, he might even look like that kid in Pittsburgh. If the O-line is weak, the Orton needs to make sure his medical is paid up ...

I'm just tired of, every year, having such a good supporting cast and no QB to bring it together. Angelo is taking a lot of well-deserved criticsm for not getting an established QB as backup.

I really feel bad for Rex Grossman....

He'd probably be a good one if he could stay healthy.

Maybe. More than likely he'll end up being one of those QB's we hear about years from now that "could have been someone if he wasn't so injury prone."

well, after grossman went down was there really a better choice? Orton at least had a really good college job so hopefully he will learn fast.

There wasn't a good choice at all, and that's my point. It's like the GM thought that nothing could happen to Grossman and decided not to try to get someone that could be a good backup. After Grossman got hurt, they had to scramble to get Jeff Blake.

And Hutchinson sucked. He's fallen from 1st on the depth chart to, well, off.

If they have someone like Ben Rothlesburger (sp?), then they might have a shot... until it gets to the playoffs and the "rookieness" shows thru from the sheer pressure of the "do-or-die" mentality of the playoffs. That was Ben's undoing. The pressure of the playoffs. But before then, he was a great rookie quarterback.

Ya, they should have gotten a journeyman vetern for a backup.
