Oh, I also ask, if you are picking the Colts, please specific whether you are picking the Colts because,
a) you hate the Pats for some personal reason ("cheating", running up the score, disrespecting the game, etc) or
B) you actually have (or think you have) some semblance of knowledge of the NFL.
Thanks.
What, it's not possible that it can be both?
a) I'm a Dolphins fan, and I have been for a long time. I've hated the Patriots with a white-hot passion since December 12th, 1982 (The Snowplow Incident).
b) Look at who each team has played
Pats: Cowboys, Redskins, Chargers, Browns, Bills, Bengals, Jets, Dolphins. Right now, these teams have a combined record of 24-34, or a winning percentage of 41.4%. If you take out the Patriots games, the combined records only go up to 48%
Colts: Titans, Jaguars, Bucs, Panthers, Broncos, Saints, Texans. Teams with a current winning percentage of 54% (27-23) which becomes 62.8% if you don't count the times these teams played the Colts.
The Colts have been playing a much tougher schedule, and scoring about as much.
I predict Colts 33, Pats 29. If the Colts can manhandle Randy Moss, then we'll see if he has turned over a new leaf, or if he's just everybody's buddy as long as he's winning.
