[NFL] Pats vs. Colts - make your prediction here!

The Colts have been playing a much tougher schedule, and scoring about as much.

The Pats have scored 107 more points than the Colts so far.

And I would say the Colts have played a marginally tougher schedule. But hey, is that the Pats' fault? You can only play who's on your schedule.

The Colts barely got by Houston and Tenn. They beat Jax and Carolina handily but those teams are much worse than their respective records - neither team has any offense. Heck, Carolina had to march Vinny T out this weekend. Carolina's record is a joke anyway - they've beaten Atlanta, Arizona, NO, and St. Louis.

Against the Colts' schedule, I would say the Pats would have put up more points and the games wouldn't have been as close.

I predict Colts 33, Pats 29. If the Colts can manhandle Randy Moss, then we'll see if he has turned over a new leaf, or if he's just everybody's buddy as long as he's winning.

Teams have been doing that already and one of two things happen: Moss catches the ball anyway or Brady just throws to Welker. I predict Welker is going to kill the Colts.

I'm just sick to death of seeing Peyton Manning's face. I mean I'm sure he's a nice enough guy and everything, but MAN he's on TV a lot.

Fair enough, I could do with a few less endorsements myself, but you gotta love that United Way skit on SNL

"Look, I throw the ball, you catch it. ITS NOT THAT HARD!" :)

I'm so sorry for you. I'm not fond of the Dolphins either, but thats due to years upon years of abuse at the hands of Marino. Buts as a long time Colts fan, I can feel your pain at 0-8.

I hadn't checked to see that you were posting from Indy. Enjoy the view from the the top as long as you've got it!

Peyton Manning is an excellent quarterback, but I think the best thing the Colts have done to set up their current success was to hire Tony Dungy.

I'd love to see Bob Sanders hit 'im so hard Moss is blowing snot bubbles.

I'm pretty sure that this image shouldn't make me as happy as it does ...

Trust me I know how bad the view from the bottom can be. I still remember 0-13 in 1986. I imagine that when Manning retires, the Colts will falter much like the Dolphins after Marino.

I don't want him actually injured, just intimidated (and I was trying to work a Maddenism into the reply).

The Pats have played eight games, the Colts have played seven. The Patriots have averaged 41.4 points a game, which is high, although I do consider that there is piling on in there, especially in the games against the Bills, Redskins, and Cowboys. The Colts have averaged 32 points a game.

The Patriots have actually given up more points per game than the Colts, and against weaker opponents. The Pats have given up 15.9 points per game versus 14.6 for the Colts, but part of that might be due to a lack of urgency on the part of the Pats defense.

And I would say the Colts have played a marginally tougher schedule. But hey, is that the Pats' fault? You can only play who's on your schedule.

This is true, but one cannot say that the Patriots are better because they have had weaker opponents. I feel that one can say that the Colts have proven more.

I have been surprised at how the Texans have played well in several games this year, and I think the Titans are one of the strongest teams in the NFL. The only good team the Patriots have played is the Cowboys, and I'm not sure how good you can think of any NFC team as being this season ... but that might be equivocating, so I'll judge the Cowboys by the only thing I got: their record.

The Patriots are not really in any position to throw stones about strength of schedule, especially when it is perceived strength of schedula as opposed to actual records. Are any of the Patriot's past opponents much better than their schedules indicate?

Heck, Carolina had to march Vinny T out this weekend.

Don't dis Vinny! As long as he's in the NFL, I'm not old!

Only if the Colts drive Dungy away first, like the Dolphins did to (please rise) Don Shula. Thank you. You may be seated.

I don't know who the heck the Dolphins might beat this year. If they can't beat the Bills after their bye, they might go 0-16. (For some reason, the one team that the Jets can beat are the Dolphins, no matter how bad the Jets are.)

Pats 28-17

Not only do the Pats have a better offense, they have a better defense too. It shouldn't be very close.
