NFL Week 12

I think by the end of this year we will really have a good idea. Last year they improved by going far in the playoffs. THis year we will see how many records he shatters in the regular season and then how he does against the other AFC Juggernauts. I'll also look to see how he does against the Ravens and Broncos, though the Broncos is the last regular season game so it could be meaningless thus he won't play much. But really all 5 of the Colts finals games are against pretty solid opponents.

Yep good teams getting better worse teams getting worse. Manning looking like he is playing for the title of greatest of all time. Seahawks keep rollin and man is there a lot of adrenaline in Ohio today.
Which Seahawks game did YOU watch today? The one I watched, the Buffalo Bills dominated from the opening plays. Pretty much, as usual, the AFC killed the NFC taking four of five games today (five of six if you include Thursday's interconference game). This makes two weeks in a row that the Bills have dismantled the NFC West Division leader or co-leader. Go Bills!

Ya, the Bills are starting to putt together a good set of wins. They can easily have a chance to win 3 of the next 5 to go .500 for the season, with an outside chance of finishing with a winning record.

Damn, that Bronco Raider game was something else.....
And I fell asleep. Damn new sofa is just too comfortable!

I'm thinking Steelers/Philly in the superbowl. Philly wins the whole thing.

Anything can happen though.

All the records and all the numbers in the world don't amount to crap if you don't have the ring. No ring you're just good. Ring = great. There are some I'm sure, who will disagree....

Manning's stats are somewhat inflated IMO. He absolutely destroys weak teams. But when his receivers get slapped around (re: the Pats), he folds. Winning the big games and the Superbowl is what puts you over the top. Most analysts right now say Manning has the best stats but they would take Brady if they needed to win the big game. He's proven he can do it, Manning hasn't. Simple as that. At the end of the day, would you rather have the best numbers or a Superbowl ring? I thought so.

Okay, but Brady's good-but-not-great by the numbers. Would you take Trent Dilfer or Brad Johnson over Manning?

If I had a choice between Manning and Brady, at the same salary, to quarterback the Patriots, coached by Bellicheck and co., I'm taking Manning every time. Manning is in all respects the better quarterback. The Pats have won more games than the Colts because they have an above-average offense and defense; the Colts have a great offense and bad defense. Manning does not play defense.

Jermaine Jackson has a Ring. He never even started a game, he played clean up for Kurt Warner in their amazing 99 season. I'm not even sure he is still in the league. But he has a ring...guess he is great.

Yup. Hard to argue with that, once you eliminate the variables and consider them head to head.

I'm wondering... How many of the QB's that have rings that the "Super Bowl contingent" consider great would still be considered great if they didn't have the ring? Let's look at this from all angles.

btw, Golem has a Ring, too.
