NFL Week 12

Can we all just have the common decency to agree that Martz will somehow mismanage this game tonight?

Man how I wish there was about 13.7 feet of snow on the ground at Lambeau right now... :D

Has any coach ever done less with so much talent?

Embarrassing.

And while proclaiming his own brilliance more loudly in the process?

What an epic clown...I might just go turn on my Super Bowl DVD for the upteenth and first time just to see the look on Martz's face when Adam Vin punches it through the middle of the uprights...

This would be a reasonable contention if the Colts lost big games because of their defense. But take last year's AFC Championship game as a classic example - the Colts were in the game and the only thing that took them out of the game was Manning and his inability to figure out a Belicheck defense. Anything else is simply revisionist history...

You mean like how the league revised the officiating after the Pats DBs repeatedly mugged the Colts receivers without getting flagged? That just might have had something to do with Manning not connecting with them...

Ah that orginally was placed on the books because of the Steelers.....not that that matters now, but I just like the fact that the rules were changed to hinder the Steel Courtain!!

Yeah...you've nailed it there. Forget that they've won 24 out of the last 25...forget that they've won 2 of the last three Super Bowls...they beat the Colts because they cheated...and they've been able to continue to fool the officials for a 10-1 record this year too despite all their cheating...it had nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that maybe they were simply a better team and Belicheck outfoxed Manning.

Puh-lease...

WEll, its not that simple. It is a known fact that certain teams do get better calls. And this is the usual way for the NFL to operate. But its not cheating if the refs don't call it. They also changed the rules after the Rams beat the Bucs in the 99 NFC Championship game.

I felt the same way watching the Raider game. All night long of hearing what a great corner Champ Bailey is...

... and watching him get ripped to shreds all over the field at the same time.

Not much more satisfying than your team kicking an arrogant bastard in the junk.

Now, that is dripping! :D

Three years ago I would never have expected someone from Boston could sound so similar to a Yankees fan. :p

You've become what you have so long hated...

Sometimes it is the QB's fault. Poor Redskins. Heroic defense. Great offensive personnel (stats this year nonwithstanding). Brunell and Ramsey deserve to be playing somewhere else next season. Like their backyards.

I will believe in the pats when I see them beat an above-.500 team without some miraculous good fortune. I remember Plaxico Burress calling out how the refs don't call defensive penalties on them. Ty Law subsequently fell down and hurt himself trying to cover someone legitimately, and Burress caught two TDs in a steelers victory over them. Hmm. If you watch those Pats you see that they get more than a few calls. When the Ravens meet them with their running back, we'll see what happens.
