NG vs. N: Neutral Good Victorious!

(Darn, I really missed my estimation of the thing's speed.)

Lorius the cervidal steps into the arena and strides towards the center of the lower side. Dodge this! his deep voice bellows, as he casually tosses a bolt of streaming light at the cactus-creature. His faces shows quite some concern from watching how this thing fought the centaur.

(MEA to 110N45E, Std: Magic Missile at the cacti)

The cactus gets blasted for 14 points of damage! It has 12 hp left.

Round 114:

The cactus charges to 105N40E, leaping the last 20 feet and pouncing on Lorius like a cat!

It slams into Lorius with its entire body, doing 19 points of damage! Lorius has 7 hp left.

(Wow, movement over 50" ouch!)

Lorius desperately brings all of his weapons against the cactus, surprised at the speed of its motion. It seemed fast against the centaur from the viewing gallery, but seems even faster in person.

(Full Attack)

Lorius briefly considers trying to rip the yellow flower from the thing, since the red flower was a source of magic that attacked the centaur, but it's too close a fight to try something that risky. Instead he lowers his horns and slams into the thing again.

(Full Attack)

(So, AC25 or AC26 eh? Icky. Too bad that magic missile is once per day, but I'm still glad I chose that over bless)

Lorius slams it again! (Rolled 26) 8 points of damage!

Round 116: The cactus is defeated!

A five foot long hawk charges to 110N50E, flying three feet off the ground. It attacks with its claw and lands.

Hit! (Rolled 17+2 for charge = 19) 2 points of damage. Lorius has 5 hp left.

OOC: In case you're not aware, the 3.5 conversion took away the celestial traits for Lorius and gave him guardinal traits. See the back of the MM for guardinal traits.

No time to cast... Lorius thinks in a gasp, falling back into another sequence of horns and hooves.

(i.e. full attack)

OOC: Darn, the guardinals aren't listed in my handy-dandy SRD source. They're in the MM, eh? I wonder if that's a miss in the SRD. Well, I doubt the difference in traits will be critical to my decision making.

OOC: Actually, all guardinals have the paladin's lay on hands ability equal to their normal hit points! It's a supernatural ability, so no AoO!

Lorius hits all three times! (Lowest roll 20) 21 total points of damage! The hawk has 11 hp left.

Round 117: The hawk crits with one claw and hits with the other! 11 damage total!

Next up for NG: a giant eagle! (MM)

The giant eagle goes next in round 117 and is familiar with the dire hawk. It knows that the hawk has the Weapon Finesse feat and average maneuverability (not much else to say about hawks).

Meneldor swoops in along the ground with mighty wingbeats. He slams into the dire hawk, leading with one outstretched claw.

(Charge Attack to 110N45E)

(OOC: Ah rats, that'll learn me. Next time read all the rules for my creature.)

OOC: The eagle is large, so the ending position is 110N40E.

Shred! (Rolled 21+2 for charge) 9 points of damage! The hawk has 2 hp left.

Round 118:

The hawk claws twice for 5. Meneldor has 21 hp left.
