Nightfall, I agree with the sentiment. I'm really curious to hear what the WotC people have to say, and want them to feel comfortable enough to say it here.

Me too. And I wondered: "That's different from Nightfall's normal posting how?" *ducks tomato from Nightfall*

Actually, for attempting to be another voice of reason, NF deserves an "honorary moderator" hat. Or else a hat of d02 ... I haven't made up my mind which.

But as I post this things seem to be returning to a reasonably even keel; the D/D/DI threads seem to be vanishing to the minority on the front page. How abotu we start a new paladin/alignment/drow thread for old time's sake?

They said it. They say the same politic crap that you hear from anyone in managerial position whenever they have to screw someone: we understand some folks will be upset and we want you all to know that we didn't take this matter lightly--nay, we gave it the most sober of contemplation.

I've heard it plenty of times. It's a textbook response.
