Actually, for attempting to be another voice of reason, NF deserves an "honorary moderator" hat. Or else a hat of d02 ... I haven't made up my mind which.

Well, considering Nighty was ranting and raving with the best of them a couple days ago, I don't think he deserves an award just because he got his anger out of his system and now wants everyone else to calm down.

I've just finished the second book in the "War of the Spider Queen" series and I've noticed some interesting parallels. In the books, rebellion and outright war has broken out in the underdark due to the disappearance of the primary god, Lolth, all while a small team of "heroes" sets out on risky missions to attempt to discover the cause behind the cause and to save their race from utter destruction.

Morrus is doing his best to lead his intrepid team using his arcane skills and diplomacy to try to turn back the insurrection as his lieutenants, including our own Nightfall, battle at the front. Will D&D as we know it, and Paizo and EnWorld, fall victim to the mobs? Will Lolth re-appear? Stay tuned.

Still, have to say I agree with the sentiment. Sure, it's a big loss, but personally I'd rather give the wizards folks the opportunity to talk to us rationally about it, instead of just having us yell and scream at them. Thats not going to get us anywhere...
