Nightmares about Sharn

Am I the only one who is finding it just a little troublesome to seperate Sharn from "that silly city in that excratory movie that should never have been made supposedly based on a popular RPG"?

I don't know, the "city of towers" trope wasn't invented for the D&D movie (I assume that's what you were talking about, right?), although I like how Sharn does it.

He's talking about the imperial city in the D&D movie; why the city itself is 'silly', I have no idea.

Actually, a fair number of people on the WOTC Eberron discussion boards state that Sharn reminds them more of Coruscant from the Star Wars movies, minus the hordes of flying transports/ships

Just a point that Sharn calls up different imagery than the 'crap'tacular D&D movie.

Sharn reminds me more of Corruscant, also. The city in the not-to-be-named movie based on a FRPG is similar only in that it has lots of towers. I don't think Sharn has anything to worry about...
