Nimblewright, finally a level adjustment!

Ha! They put a level adjustment on the updated nimblewright. Sweetness! And it's +6, which I think is about what most of us agreed it should be. If only you didn't have so many of those pesky construct hitdice.... I'd love to play one of these guys in a game! :)

-The Souljourner (who is just waiting for a campaign starting at 16th level ;))

P.S. The market price on of these guys is only 22k... does that strike anyone else as a little cheap for an intelligent automaton with all these abilities? Granted, it's no iron golem, but it would make a heck of an addition to a party... does it count as a hireling or equipment if you're buying the actual guy? :)

I had not noticed that they gave it a LA in the update, that is cool. Did you notice that it now gets 20 bonus Hit Points for being a medium size Construct? It is not all that much but it should help some.

Too bad that they didn't give it a BAB, that would make playing one much easier. If we assume that those rapiers are being finessed (i would hope so), that +11 attack bonus gives a BAB +4.

Question: How would enchanting those rapiers work? They're statted like natural weapons, but are physical weapons them selves (though attached to the body). Say we give one of them a +1 enchantment bonus and speed, and the other a +1 enchantment bonus. Would that give 3 attacks at +12?

BAB is based purely on stats and hitdice. Construct hitdice are.... (looking it up in the SRD) 3/4 BAB so 10 is +7 BAB.

The real problem with construct hitdice is the "no good saves" part, though you are immune to practically everything but straight out damage.

A nimblewright is one of the things a DM must throw at a decent level party - especially being MM2 they won't know what it is, and being intelligent you can give it some sneaky tactics
