Jaan Saaresar, male human Servant of the Green

"Personally, I would go for horses."

[sblock=ooc]No, not waiting for you Bonte. But I'm not sure what happened to the others.[/sblock]

Will frowns at the suggestion. It had merit, but his purse was almost not up to the task. Almost.

"T'would be a blessing indeed and much faster besides. Speaking of haste, let us tarry no more. Where can we go to purchase mounts for ourselves?"

He directs his question at Bernard.

"I'm sure Lord Pician can provide mounts for you to use if you wish, and he's been known to sell a few on occasion as well. Otherwise there is a stable not far down the road where you can usually purchase horses." Bernard replies.

Troi seems to think that the horses may not have complete war training, but are at least steady enough to ride in combat without spooking easily.

Jaan Saaresar, male human Servant of the Greenman.

"I was planning to purchase a mount, but this is not really the time to conduct such a transaction. I think we should accept Lord Pician's gracious hospitality in this. It doesn't matter if the horses are not battle trained. Fighting from horseback is something to be avoided unless the rider has some experience in it as well."

If the decision is taken to take up the offer of horses, Jaan will go with Bernard to help with the preparation of the horses. It will also give him a chance to see what they are like, and in order to best match horses to riders. Or vice versa.

"I wouldn' push th' horses from th' bandits." Troi says. "They might be steady 'nough ta get inta combat, but I dunno if they kin handle anythin' more'n that..."

Jaan nods in agreement. Assuming no one disagrees, Jaan heads off to get the mounts sorted. If he gets a chance, he will also drop in on the prisoner and see that he is all right.

The prisoner is fine, and indeed is likely eating better than he has in a while, with eggs and water, while an armed guard stands by the door and another down the hall.

The stable master is in and seems to be giving both of the new arivals a once over when Jaan arives.

"Ho there sir. You must be one of the ones the Lord sent for. These your horses?"

OOC: Doghead seems to be away at the moment, anyone else have anything they needed to do while we wait? I'll give him a few more days. I think he mentioned he was traveling or working or something in Talking the Talk.
