Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

Wilhelm asks the locals regarding the location of Night Watch's office and then proceeds to that place.

As they ride/walk toward said office, he speaks to his comrade. "Lasair. Far be it from me to shirk from the fore of matters. But mayhap, we would benefit from your wordplay when dealing with these Men, like what how you negotiated with the bandits. If they guard the docks like professionals, then they should know if our quarry passed here or have a clue from that day"

"The bandits are misguided souls who have been driven to desparate endeavours, but...someone tasked with a duty to protect who abandons or abuses that position is 1000 times worse. It is inconceivable. I don't know if I could keep my composure around such..."

Wil notes her concern with a frown. "You have to, Lasair. The woman we're trying to rescue... her life depend on us. She has no other salvation but us.

That said, there is no proof as of yet that these Night Watch are corrupt. But it pays to be cynical in these times and days"

*Lasair sighs.*

"So it must be, for there is zij. But this I swear. Any oathbreakers who escape justice, or worse who gain some advantage today in the name of our zij shall face it yet."

*Lasair is willing to question the guards, even grudgingly the corrupt guards.*

The dock watch office is next to the main dock office, and is where all the watches are run out of. The building is near the gate, and easy to find.

The watch house is a medium sized building, with an open area and a few desks through the front door. There are some doors marked Watch Only that are closed, and there currently are 2 people sitting down at desks. The one by the front door looks up at you "What can I do you?"

"Excuse me sir, have you or the other guards seen any unusual incidents in the area recently? Specifically, a cloaked man on a horse carrying an abducted woman?"

(OOC: Diplomacy +17)

"Oh, no, definately nothing like that. You're speaking of Lady Niobe, correct? I met her once when Lord Pician was showing her around. Lovely lady, and very sweet too. Why, do you think she was taken through the docks? What can I do to help?"

The other man, a Half-Elf rises from his desk, "Yes, please, what can we do to help? Lord Pician is a good man, and will be a great Baron. I'd like to help him in any way I can. I'm Reynard Stillman, head of the watch."
