[NJ, DE, PA and even VA, NY and all points East!] Shorecon [ENworld gathering]

Only a few days to go, folks! Everyone who's going to be there, it would be a help if you'd chime-in again, just so I have an idea of how many badges to print/bring.

There should also be a bulletin board/announcement board somewhere at the 'con. I'll make sure and post an announcement there about the gathering, and any last minute changes will be noted there, as well.
Leaving tomorrow afternoon! April (my wife) & I (Sam) will be there. Question: Are you running 3.0 or 3.5?

Good point on the announcement board.

April & I will likely be dining in the attached pub on Thursday night. Feel free to walk up to random couples and say "Sam, April?"

We (Dru & Karen) won't be arriving until Friday, probably around lunch time (need to drop the wee ones off at Grandma's house). We and Scorch will be there on Friday. I'm not sure when Argent will arrive. I expect we might see Tantra on Saturday.

Very psyched. We'll keep an eye out for you guys.

I'll be there at least for Saturday. Where and when is the meeting exactly? (There has been so much discussion on it I'm not sure what the final decision was. :D )

We're in that last minute 'packing, get the badges ready, do we have everything?' phase.

The ENWorld Gathering is currently scheduled for 3PM at wherever the main gaming room is at, to move to the pub when we've assembled, prolly by 3:15 or so.

To make sure, check wherever the message board, and I'll try and post a note of some sort.

See you there!

We're back. Caught up on some sleep. It was great meeting everyone. I'm looking forward to the pictures.

WizardDru, you have to post a short recap of what happened in the game I started to play in. Where did the chaos beasts come from?

Argent, how did the Avonshar game go? And how did you like Legacy of the Green Regent? April & I played a round on Sunday morning before we left.

The EN World tags were a big hit! I kept it on during the Living Greyhawk interactive, and a number of people commented on it. Many of them thought I was there in some "official" capacity since the tags said "delegate" on them :). Going to keep mine until the next con.

I guess the next big one in our area will be Winter Fantasy. I heard it's going to be held in the Meadowlands Convention Center in North Jersey. Hopefully you guys can make it there in January!

April & I had a great time in the pub and after. She's starting to understand a bit more why I spend time on the boards here, though I still haven't gotten her to the point of logging on and participating. Give me time. I converted her into a gamer, didn't I? :D

I had a great time at the con. Avonshar didn't go off. I wound up 45 minutes late to my own game but no one had signed up for it anyway.

Green Regent was interesting and I was the only one to walk away from it with an item.

It was really nce to meet you and April and Michael Tree. Your all very cool people. Hope to see you all again soon.

I'll try to get the 'con report up sometime this evening. I took about 50 pictures during the weekend, but I took them at 2048xwhatever resolution, so they'd be huge if I posted them unaltered. Val will likely do some trimming today for me.

I'll make sure and summarize the game in the report. You missed the Umbral Cougar animal companion, the trail of dead bodies and final showdown, wherein the bard used a cantrip to stop the big bad cold in his slithery tracks. Great moment, that.

Like he said, he had a rough morning. Oddly enough, though, someone won the event. Go figure. ;)

Yeah, Val did a bang-up job on 'em....and we've got plenty left. I got a couple of comments, as well, from folks who identified themselves as mostly lurkers, but who came here all the time.

It was great meeting everyone. Maybe we'll make Winter Fantasy...who knows?

Even though I wasn't able to make it to the whole con, I had a great time. It was great to meet everyone, and I hope to see you all again. Who knows, maybe I can scrounge up enough money and time to go to Winter Fantasy (oh, the plight of the poor grad student... :p)

I'll let WizarDru recap his game, but needless to say it was a lot of fun, especially with WD hamming it up with some memorable NPCs, and the bard's brilliant (and remarkably literal) use of "ghost sound".

Glad to hear people had a good time, and I wish I could have gone there myself. I look forward to hearing more and seeing some pics when they get posted! :)

I'll be editing the pictures today, so look for a con report this afternoon, most likely.
