[NJ, DE, PA and even VA, NY and all points East!] Shorecon [ENworld gathering]

Yep. 'tis me. :) I rarely come to EN World as I no longer play d20. Most of my time is spent at the www.dragonsfoot.org message boards, as I had "re-discovered" the joy of Basic / Expert D&D and it is the home of OOP D&D. I also post a little at the www.peginc.com forums, since I love their new game Savage Worlds.

Made it back to NJ and all settled in now. I just missed Shorecon last year. I am still debating if I should go or not.

Hope the Swords of Faded Glory are doing well.

Did we reach any sort of consensus about a specific time?

Sam, the RPGA events on Saturday appear to Start at 3PM and then next round at 8PM. I assume you were referring to shooting for the 8 PM slots?

Argent, I think you should go and check your settings for Avonshar...it currently lists at running at 12:30AM. Which is more appropriate for that little slice of hell that Avonshar is...but you'll be all alone if you show up at a different time from your players. :D

I ask as I'm going to set up a 'special event' for the Gathering. My current assumption was something around 3PM, but I'm not married to any particular time (in point of fact, I'm married to Valanthe the Sleepless...but that's neither here nor there).

I am currently debating what to run at the 'con. At this point, I'm leaning towards a 3.5 adventure using pre-made characters, most likely between 5th-8th level.

Um... Need to check into that... 12:30AM is after Midnight and your right... that would be a great time.

And don't let his "Little slice of Hell" remark stop you from playing. Avonshar is full to the brim with fluffly bunnies. Lovely fluffy bunnies with antenna, compound eyes and a thurst for your immortal soul.

I'm pretty sure the RPGA events are being held every slot of the convention. The only slot I don't have any latitude on is the Sat. Nite Living Greyhawk Interactive (starts at 8PM). Other than that I am pretty open.

Do you know what time you're running this? Any specific world? C'mon, fess up....

Well, I've officially missed any chance of registering an event (my own fault...kid's birthdays tend to distract).

Unless I hear someone say otherwise, I'm tentatively scheduling our get together for whatever the main game room is, at 4 PM on Saturday. If folks would like an earlier time, that's hunky-dory with me, too. The plan is still currently to pop over to the pub attached to the hotel, but we can change that fairly easily enough.

Well, originally I was going to run a pre-made adventure, but then had too much fun working on my own. It's called 'Brother against Brother', takes place in Greyhawk and is meant for 8th level characters. Pregenerated characters will be provided, amateurs welcome. The version will be Revised 3rd Edition (i.e. 3.5).

If it goes well, I can always run it more than once. :D

4PM sounds ok. Just want to be done by 7:45 or so. Need to get to the LG Interactive at 8PM. Maybe we should start at 3PM, which is a standard "slot" time.

I guess we should start seeing who's going to show up. Is the nametag thing still available? Also, how many people do you want to limit your game to?

Saturday I have a game going on at 3pm... Into the Woods.

I'll probably be wearing an ENWorld t-shirt... so at least I'll be recognizable that way.

Valanthe purchased a pack of 50 nametags, which she'll probably print up during the next week.

I'm thinking 6 people should be a good number (it's what I normally have :)) for my game.

3PM's just as good by me...the only reason I chose 4 was to put it a little closer to 'dinner' time for some, and give Argent some breathing room, since he's at 12:30PM....but he can always show up a little late, or just commit a TPK. :D
