[NJ, DE, PA and even VA, NY and all points East!] Shorecon [ENworld gathering]

I just might venture north of the Mason-Dixon. About how far north of DC is this Cherry Hill?

That, and if anyone from the DC area wants to car pool, or get a group-rate for a room, lemmie know; I'm still in college and not above piling into a hotel room.

And since I start classes again on the 25th, I will have bubkis for real homework. Heh heh.

I was originally thinking of going to this con myself, but now I am at the mercy of the Verizon strike (I am management and will be required to work a ridiculous amount of hours). So, if the strike is not in full swing that weekend I will try and get there for a day or two.
Sam, I happened to notice you mentioned Long Island. I am in North Babylon, where are you from?

I'm in Bellmore. Hopefully, if the strike does happen, it will be settled by Labor Day weekend.

Well, I'll try another one of the Shorecon organizers, and see if I can get any sort of response, but as of this point, I'm figuring we'll get together sometime on Saturday afternoon, hang out at the pub, and then maybe back to the main game room for some pick-up games, and so forth.

Been a crazy week, or I would have posted sooner.

What's the general consensus, so far? Would we like to actually try and get some pub food and the like, just nosh and drink, or something else? AmerginLiath, have you had an opportunity to scope the place out, yet? Should we look at trying to reserve some space, or just catch as catch can?

It is indeed right outside Philly (albeit on the other side of the river). I normally can make DC inside two hours (most of it in Maryland). Take I-95 to the Delware Memorial Bridge, get onto I-295, and go about a half-hour to exit 34, which brings you to about a quarter/half-mile down the road from the hotel...

I vote for a somewhat informal gathering in the pub w/appetizers & the like. As for time, the only thing on the schedule that is fixed is the LG interactive (which I think is Sat. Nite). Saturday afternoon works, but any pickup game would have to be complete by the time the interactive starts.

Does anyone know how event registration works for RPGA events? There isn't any RPGA events on the ShoreCon website. Is it just show up at the mustering area at the appropriate time and hope they have enough judges?
