No New 24 Thread?

Wow.. Maybe I'm reading way to into things, but I think the fact that the show is getting predictable and the fact that there wasn't a 24 thread posted might be a bad sign for the series.

Last night nothing surprised me, which I think might have did alot of harm to the series considering that Fox 11 in LA hyped the 2 hours they played last night. Also, I'm getting tired of the Bauer family visits to CTU. Its like every time someone in the Bauer family enters the building something terriblely wrong happens and alot of people end up dead (in this case it was the tactical team that left with Jack). Also, I'm starting to wish that Fox did a better job at editing the next hour previews.. It should have ended with Jack going all psycho on Graem's wife and not shown her say that his dad set them up, because that kills the coolness factor of seeing jack go insane on an innocent.

Anyone else feel the same?

Well...my fault actually, was pressed for time. And one thread was cut from the routine, that day . Just Monday past. But I have noted also the lack of turnover{in page count} on this season's threads.

Heroes has taken the regular viewers(and it has a better looking thread :) ) away...and it has been showing here and in the ratings too.
But still watch them both.

Yeah, I've noted the lack of response this season, too. I keep checking back in to see what others are thinking but there are seldom new posts.

I think the formula's getting old. As someone said last week, predictably unpredictable.

My wife and I like both shows but we can only record one, so we record Heroes. I figure we can watch 24 when it repeats this summer.

As an aside, I have never watched the show...but have caught glimpses over the years. Every time I tune in for a bit Jack Bower is torturing someone.

One episode it looked like he was sawing someones arm off, then threatening to shot a woman in the leg, and then last I tuned in, he was putting a plastic bag over a persons head, (the actor that says "I like it" in Robocop), whom Keifer ID as his brother.

The show almost seems like a thesis on the justifiable use of torture.... and while I find the premise and conventions interesting, I am a bit squeamish when it comes to torture scenes.

Lol.

I guess thats the difference between the first season and every other season. In the first season Jack was hessitant on using torture, but then after he tortured his first victem he decided that interrogate villians without braking a few bones in the process.

There actually IS a debate about 24 being an attempt to justify torture.

I think these two episodes were great, it felt like the season is getting somewhere.

I know what irks me though - the president and his crew does not feel as solid as in previous seasons - specially Peter MacNicol playing Thomas Lennox; I can´t help it,but when I watch this guy I´m just waiting for Ally McBeal to show up :)

Agreed.

Biscuit =/= Martial Law Bad@$$

I think that 24 is a great show. It has always had enough flaws to drive a Sherman tank through, but that's okay, as it is a non-stop thrill ride. It's the only show that I never watch previews for or read the TVGuide write-up because I want no advanced notice of what will follow, that would only spoil the fun.

Didn't really care for the back-to-back this week though as I found the episodes didn't mesh all that well, I think they would have each worked better as a stand alone episode.
