Nobody talking about PHBII or other supplements?

Not sure. I hadn't really noticed that they were being ignored.

For the record, I really like the PHBII. The Duskblade is probably my favorite. It's about time the game had a base "gish" class since it's such a long-standing concept in the game.

The feats, for the most part, are solid and useful. They're biased towards high BAB PCs, but that's fine with me. The feats are good enough that I would consider playing a single class fighter.

The sorcerer heritage feats are cool and the Combat Focus bits are interesting. Makes me wonder if the Combat Focus is a precursor to what we'll see in the Tome of Battle.

Alternate class features are pretty good, especially the ones that eliminate animal companions/familiars/ mounts.

Uhm no offense but I could have sworn we've had at least 5-7 threads about PHB II, 4 for Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss. The only one I've not seen is Mysteries of the Moonsea and that's because, yes it did suck.

Oh man, Nightfall -- are you serious? I just ordered it from buy.com earlier today and it already shipped! That's what you get for trying to use a coupon and there's not much else to buy.

I may be biased towards Scarred Lands. I might keep pimping it and yelling about Orcus 10 to the X power. But I promise you, I don't say a book sucks unless it REALLY sucks. If you like maps, fine. But this wasn't worth it.

Now that's a bummer. I guess I'll try to steal stuff from it anyway. I don't DM or play in FR games, so it's just idea mining material mostly.

I heard that "Mysteries of the Moonsea" is more of an adventure snippet book, similar to "En Route", than a regional supplement. Does it suck on this premise, or just as a regional supplement, which it really isn't in the first place?

Anyway, as far as the original question goes, I don't think it's true that new WotC titles don't get any love here. Although the love for them usually doesn't run that deeply .

It sucked in that the adventure snippets weren't that interesting, didn't do much to advance the time line or history of Zhential Keep or the other areas, and most of all, the entire book was way to dry for me to enjoy.

No it's not a regional suppliment I realize that but there's more to it than that. Just trust me, don't get this book.
