For a while now, I've had an idea rolling around in my brain about making an "Anti-Fighter" - a character focused on the use of skills and other non-martial and non-magical abilities. For a while, I thought it might be a good idea to use the Rogue to model the character, but I didn't think Sneak Attack fit. Then I looked at the Bard, and said "yeah - that might do it," until I remembered the "non-magical" part of the concept. Then I looked at the Expert, and discarded it because I figured it was an NPC class for a reason, and didn't measure up to the Rogue as the Jack-of-All-Skills PC I wanted.
What I eventually decided on was a home-brew class that was basically a Rogue without any of the combat skills (no Sneak Attack, no Uncanny Dodge), the addition of a bardic ability (Bardic Knowledge), and the Bard's saves.
(I think this turns out fairly even in the end - let me know if you don't think it does...).
Anyway, I also began to wonder if a Prestige Class might fit into this mold, which brings me to my question:
Does anyone know of any Prestige Classes out there that might allow more feats to come such a character's way? I'm talking about non-combat feats meant more for skill boosts (especially with all the 3.5 feats that effect skills) and other sundries.
Any help is appreciated!
