Next round I might have to go for Dread Necromancer. While cool, it's PC-Playability is limited to rather unorthodox campaigns, and it doesn't serve a key party role.

Well that's an idea. Wait until we're down to 3 classes. Then throw in the core classes. Vote off the least favorite and see how many non-core are rated beter the the core.

I voted artificer, just because it doesnt seem like it would be very fun to play one.

That's more or less why I voted for it too. I'm in a campaign with one, and while I have no problem with it, the player does sometimes seem to feel a little short-shrifted (it's a campaign with a set in-game timetable, so one without much downtime.) It may be better suited to people who don't normally play Gronk the Smasher, though.

I've avoided voting for the most part simply because I like pretty much all the classes I've seen for one reason or another, and I don't want to vote against psionics simply because I don't have any experience with it.

We've done the core classes (as well as the core races, and a few dozen other survivors). It's just been a while. I didn't want to tread on new ground.

Yeah, but this is more of a "which do you prefer fighter or psychic warrior. We'd be figureing out if people prefer the best of the non-core to each of the cores.

No, I don't think we would. A few non-core classes might make the last few. However, I'm sure the last ones would all be core (probably the top 5). I wanted this poll to spotlight the new classes.

I voted for the Binder. I dislike the Binder for the same reason I dislike Incarnum. I don't like classes whose abilities change drastically every day. Why not have a character sheet for every class made up and pick a new one each day (in game). That's what the binder (and incarnum) looks like to me.

While I've used my vote to try to break close votes for 2nd place in the last couple of rounds (by peeking at the poll results before voting), that strategy seems doomed this round -- artificer at 31 votes, psion at 25 (warmage out in front by a good margin).

*sigh*

Nothing against psionics, but I'd have preferred to see the artificer stay a bit longer. Oh well.

I think next round I'm going to start targetting Duskblade & try to build a movement there; it is just too... *yawn*
