Has anyone explained yet what purpose this series of polls serves? What exactly will it mean when you get down to one class? What's that feedback represent?

Because many of us (myself included) are inveterate complainers and love to gripe about the things we hate! It's great when you find out lots of other people hate the same classes you do. :D

On a more constructive note, there has been some serious and constructive criticism and defense of certain classes.

Mostly it's just a fun exercise to go through, I think. I can't imagine otherwise what it really represents.

Unless the winning class gets to take home a million dollars?

I voted artificer, just because it doesnt seem like it would be very fun to play one. Just because one aspect of a class is broken doesnt mean the entire class is, so some theoretical instant godhood loophole doesnt concern me.

Though to be fair, I think most of the remaining classes are more balanced and more interesting than plenty of core classes (paladin, cleric, ranger, etc). Its a shame we didnt do this with all the classes in there, I'm curious to see who would be in the top 10 then.

If you think clerics had it bad, try an artificer. "C'mon, heal me! It's your job!" is nothing compared to "C'mon, make me a wand of magic missiles!"
