Yes, like some people have said, it's getting harder to choose. I guess it's time for the specialized spontaneous spellcasters to exit, and of the three, I like the dread necromancer the least.

I'm really pleased my Duskblade is getting much love. I wouldn't mind seing it win. On a side note, I am very aware of how much love the PHB II is getting in general. I hope someone at WotC is reading this thread to show the book designers/writers what people want in books. That was an excellent book - and while you certainly can't please all people - I think this poll shows that the PHB II certainly pleased the majority of people in regards to good, solid base classes. [As suppliments go, 3/4 with the 3 consistantly getting fewer votes than most is not bad. Most of the other books are not fairing so well.]

I also agree, it is tough to make a call anymore. I may simply have to shift my strategy to voting for classes I know nothing about simply because I like the ones that are left too much to lose. So that'd be goodbye to the binder and its magical companions...

I don't hate the "aggro" ability (partially because I have no clue what that means or why I should think any abilities of this class are computer game oriented)
It emulates the warrior class in EverQuest and World of Warcraft, where NPC AI typically has them attack the creature that did the most damage to them, or the enemy that has done the most healing while they were in sight. The warriors have an ability to snap the NPC's attention back to them (in theory), ignoring the logic (such as it is) of the MMORPG in question. (If a wizard has just sent a fireball the size of a subway car up my butt, no mama joke a warrior could snap off in the heat of battle would get me to lay off the wizard.)

For what it's worth, a WotC feat predates PHB2 in modeling this MMORPG ability.

(And, conversely, in MMORPGs, there are abilities to get an NPC to leave you alone, even if it shouldn't. Some of them are spells, but others are simply a monk or hunter/ranger dropping to the ground and looking convincingly dead for a second.)

I voted Duskblade, until I realized that Scout is still on the list. Oh, well... Duskblade DOES need to go (it's just way too bland, if you ask me).
