NorCal Game Day, Part Deux (planning)

Okay, I've decided what game I'm gonna run, assuming this works out:

Mutants and Masterminds.

More gamers must be exposed to this superheroic goodness! :)

I'm all over M&M. I've had it for a long time, never got to play it, but I love superheroes.

I'm beginning to play in my first M&M game over in our Play by Post Forums. New games of all genres frequently start up in the Talking the Talk forum, and there've been a few new M&M games recently. Keep an eye out there, if you're interested in getting in on a message board game.

I've played a PbP message board game. I enjoyed it while it lasted. I think I'm done with them for now.

But hey, no reason you couldn't start up a face-to-face game here in town? ;)

Well, working 20 hours a week and going to grad school is one reason. :p

I think a supers game might take less time than a fantasy one, though - world-building is a lot simpler, for instance, and I'd probably use the Freedom City book. Not sure how anyone but you feels about supers or M&M, though.

We'll see what happens, maybe this gameday will spark more interest in a new local game.

I'm going to let this thread go for the remainder of this week. Then I'll post a new "schedule" thread. Btw, John, in answer to your question about FLGS, ya just gotta have the cajones to stride on in and ask! Explain what we're doing and ask for their support with either a product or a gift certificate. The more interest we can generate in a regular NorCal Game Day, producing interest in gaming in the region in general, translates to more business for the game stores. It's bound to be slow at first, but eventually we'll gather more steam and we need their help.
