NorCal Game Day, Part Deux (planning)

Early November is good. I don't know how it is for the younger folks though... it's been too long for me to know how school schedules and whatnot synch up. Ah, summer, we'll miss ye. (But not the freakin heat.) I know late november is nad, for me at least, what with holidays, birthdays, semester breaks, etc...

In other news... did you get my e-mail gary?

November 8th should be good for me, and school isn't a problem on that day (the school admin left it up to me to put together a calendar of all the events for this year) so AereonBlaze and Gunslinger may be able to join in too

garyh - did you get my email this week?
Call us if you want.

Reaper, got your latest e-mail. Emily and I are an affirmative.

SACRAMENTANS!!! If you're looking for a game (and several of you have expressed interest to my previous post), head over to this thread and we can discuss it, instead of hijacking the NorCal Game Day thread. :)

OK, November 8th looks good. Let's plan for that and an FLGS in the Bay area. Some of you citizens of the Bay scene need to start pimping your stores in the thread.

I have a contact in Santa Cruz for a February Game Day and I hope to move us to Sonora in May, then back to Great Escapes next October. Once I have all the venues lined up, I'll contact each to inquire about sponsoring us.

Just a small suggestion, although I do like Great Escapes, I did find a place that has a lot of room for games. Adventures in Comics on Fair Oaks (after manzanita turns into fair oaks....), Good place and they seem to look out for gamers...and their the little guy and very good to work with...
Also would love to get into another regular game but if I did my wife would probably kill me.....

Where are the Bay area gamers?

So no one has responded to the request to line up a gaming venue in the Bay area yet. There were some calls to move our second Game Day out of the Central Valley. Whassup wid you folks who clamored for a Game Day on the Bay? :(

Well, I'm content to have another Sacramento event. :D

I wouldn't mind heading south either, though, so I could use that gift certificate from last game day. :)

I agree with garyh - I'd rather it stay in Sacto for now, until there's a big enough group clamboring to move it to another locale. It was hard enough to get one GameDay to run - switching locales might make it even harder to get enough people together for another one.

While it makes it somewhat 'unfair' to people outside of the Sacramento area, I realize, there are only so many places of central concentration enough to get enough gamers together to warrant calling it an "ENWorld Gameday".

I forget how many people that were at Great Escape were outside of the area. I've seen mutiple Sacto area people on the boards that strangely never replied to any of the NorCal Gameday threads. I even emailed a couple of them, with nary a word.

BTW: As of today, isn't it about only 2 months away till the next one? ;)
