NorCal Game Day, Part Deux (planning)

I've never broken down and gotten Stratego: Legends, but always thought it looked VERY neat. How is it? I used to like Stratego when I was younger, but haven't played it since then, really.

I didn't list my non-type-2-compliant Magic: the Gathering collection (still the best card game ever made, I think, just too much trouble and money to keep up with, but that shouldn't stop classic games from being played, as long as yer not trying to 'win at all costs'.) Also not listed are some strictly 'kids' games.

Lo and behold, look what weekend happens to be in late Oct/ early Nov:

I don't know about you guys, but there's something about RIGHT after Halloween that lends itself towards roleplaying....

While I was more than happy to provide some of the prizes for the game day, they were from my private collection I am also trying to sell and trade stuff from, and not actually from Great Escape. Nor do I actually own Great Escape, but I am flattered that I was thought of as someone important. So, you're welcome, I was glad to send you the books, but I am in no way associated wit hGreat Escape, except as a semi-regular customer.

Stratego: Legends is pretty good. I haven't played as many games as I would have liked with it, but those that i have have always been fun. it's a pretty solid 2-player game.
As for magic, I've never actually sat down and played a game, despite being interested. My friend tried to teach me it 6-7 years ago, but we stopped and did something else. I wonder if he still has them....
Nov. 1st would be a pretty good roleplaying day. we could all bring our roleplaying costumes!.....or maybe not....

I know a couple of you have posted that November 1st would be good day for our 2nd Game Day, but I don't anticipate being available that day. I( could go with November 2nd (Sunday) or the following Sunday. I think most of you prefer a Saturday, so November 8th would be a perfect day for me. What do you all say?
