Northern California Game Day (Any DMs out there?)

Well, I think I e-mailed 13 gamers in my contact list. I also posted on a couple of boards, neither one devoted to 3e. I'm against requiring registration at ENWorld/sign-up in this thread. HackJoe has no interest in d20, but has graciously volunteered to run a table.

Now I realize this idea got started as an ENWorld get-together. How many times did we try that? I stated flat-out last time that if I was going to continue my involvment it, it was going to be a gamers' get-together.

Until I spread the word, we still basically only had one table. Some Game Day! Now we have two and I anticipate at least one more. We may have five with only two devoted to d20! You want to restrict attendance to people registered at ENWorld? That happens and I'm outta here!

This is about gaming, not d20 or 3e or ENWorld. It's about gaming and gamers having a good time and getting to know one another. Y'all turn elite on me and I'll just hafta turn on my HackAttitude!

That's a good point. Probably best to forego it in the case of your get together. Will you be able to collect enough players or Joe's game from the Kenzer boards, maybe? :)

I'm sure I can. One day? Free? Hacking? No prob.

Some people may not take Hackmaster seriously, but they sure take their network seriously! :D (Kinda puts the RPGA to shame in a lot of ways, eh?) :)

whoa now, bloodymage!

I just stopped by Great Escape, and while they have a large gaming area (around 11 or 12 tables at least), they do have lots of Warhammer types and all.
I asked the night guy there, and he said that's an OK weekend, one week before their big WarHammer tourny.

I'll stop by tomorrow when the owner's there and give him what I know, and try to confirm whatever kind of reservation they can give us.

They are first come first serve, officially (unless the owner wants to reserve a table for you. ;) )

They open at 11 AM on Saturday and stay open until midnight.

If you guys could give me a reasonable guesstimate of how many likely could SHOW on Aug 2nd, that'd help me get across to the owner better....

I think it would be best if we did have everybody post here to register, not because I think this should be an "EN World Only" event, but because I think we need a central place for communication.

If people post in this thread, we know exactly who's interested and who can make it.

Attempting to organize this Game Day across three seperate boards could get messy.

Reapersaurus- If you could, tell the guy that we'd be willing to pay to reserve the game tables especially for this event.

Make this central, but sign-up by proxy allowed. I'm not telling my OAD&D and Hack people they have to register at ENWorld to participate. No one I know, but there are certain people in thos circles that hate this site!

Word just went out this morning. I'll give you a head count as soon as I can.
