So when the Northern Crown PC's found a fairy gate between the worlds, they were able to have more traditional D&D adventures in a pseudo-medieval world filled with dragons, elves, and magic.

If your not interested in the setting, how useful is the book as a resource for homebrew pseudo-Regency fantasy worlds?

I'll second that question. I want to steal bits for a historical campaign.

Not at all. The flavor of the book is Restoration, not Regency. Think Charles II, not George IV.

Ah, thanks. I could have sworn seeing something about analogs for the founders and mythic figures from the westward expansion, so I assumed post-colonial rather than early colonial. :o

There are a couple of prestige classes that are def. about the westward expansion era mythic figures: Johnny Appleseed, Paul Bunyan, John Henery, etc. but the setting is early colonial.

so we have Epic Orchardist, Giant Lumberjack (with enlarged animal companion) and Steel Driving Man PrCs?

Anyone think of limiting or removing the cleric and wizard class and just using the new classes from the book? It seems to me that some of the spells from both classs like fireball, blade barrier and raise dead (Just to name a few) might be overpowering for a historical fantasy type game.

Maybe healer from MHB would work in place of cleric? And natural philospher in place of the wizard/sorcerer classes?

Just a thought..
