[Nostalgia, Poll of sorts] IF you could have an old D&D product/s revamped for 3E...

I like all the ones that JeffB mentioned. Particularly GDQ and A1-4.

I would add I3-5 Desert of Desolation, X4-5 (Master of the Desert Nomads seriees), X1, B2, S4/WG4

Also, B3--Palace of the Silver Princess.

Also, I never had these products, but I would like to see 3e versions of the City of Greyhawk set, the Falconmaster series, The Scarlet Brotherhood, and other WoG material that provides 'Gazatteer information' on particular areas.

Finally, I second haveing 3e material for Mystara and the Gazatteer line.

AD&D. No, really. (:

3e D&D is really 3e AD&D. Heck, it's almost AAD&D. (: Meanwhile, the Introductory Set really **is** a simplified version of 3e, and I think it would have made a very D&D (aka. simpler version of AD&D) game system. IMO, Old D&D was very much like AD&D, except for races and until you got to the later high-level expansions. Market's probably too small for D&D and AD&D, of course.

For Nostalgia? I liked the mini-setting called Thunder Rift, and all the adventures associated with it. I think they called it the Challenger series. It is not so much the adventures themselves, but the way they were laid out that I like. Titles such as:

Quest for the Silver Sword
Assault on Raven's Ruin
Dragon's Den (boxed set), etc.

These included battle maps and counters that aided greatly during play. The little extra aided greatly in my preparation and during play, which is what really adds value to a pre-made adventure.

One thing I also like about Thunder Rift is the scale. I can wrap my mind around maps with a 1 inch = 1 mile scale better than other scales. The map presents a small, self-contained mountain rift, but with alot of variety with in.

Return to the Tomb of Horrors; this one doesn't necessarily have to be an epic-level-only adventure, though it probably shouldn't be attempted by parties under 14th level. It would make an interesting follow-up to the RttToEE.

A lot of the stuff in there's been converted- it's all epic level.

I give it another vote, and another one for S3 (Expedition to the Barrier Peaks). I'll also throw in a vote for the Dungeoneer's Survival Guide. I loved that book!

I'll join the call for Mystara/Known World stuff--though I'd prefer a HC book to a boxed set. It could easily be done by updating the information from the old gazetteer series (taking the opportunity to retcon things like Shadow Elves taking over Alfheim), and bringing out a "Known World Gazetteer" hardcover.

Also, Keep on the Borderlands, incorporating additional 'Keep area' material (such as the module--was it called 'Into the Unknown' or something similar?--about the underground dungeon complex of Quasqueton).

GEE-DEE-QUE!
GEE-DEE-QUE!

Goooooooooooooo GIANTS!

Also Barrier Peaks, and Desert of Desolation Series - because good Desert-based adventures are sorely lacking.

In all honesty...

...it would be the BASIC D&D Boxed Set. Yes, the old red-book boxed set with the players and DMs staple-bound books, an adventure, maps and dice...

The Adventure Game that was put out was not quite what I am talking about -- I mean a full fledged game -- one that just trims down the choices dramatically...

One that makes Elf and Dwarf a pair of classes...

One that pairs down the skills and feats lists dramatically...

One that only goes to (say...) level 3-5 or so.

One that can be used as a simple teaching game -- remains fully compatable with the main game -- just at a less 'defined' level.

That is what I want.
