<not the adventure> Burn down the town

Had a bunch of evil PC's go through The Village of Hommlet and kill every single villager.

The town itself, however, remained unburnt. :)

Hey, I was 11 or so, ok? :)

Yep, been there too. Second time we played it we decided to go the alternate route. Those villagers were loaded with gold. I think we were about 14 and were probably tired of opening up legends and lore and 'avin' a go at the gods

A friend of mine, who is a well-known and respected member of these forums, likes to tell the story of how he and his group handled Hommlet - they knocked on every door, and when the person inside answered, asked their name.

If the DM knew their name of the top of his head (meaning it was specified in the module) they assumed he was evil, and killed him.

Work on a village, or city and the PCs burn it to the ground or destroy it, not as the campaign would dictate but because they wanted to destroy it or because it just happened to go that way?

Sound like a typical KoDT strip. :D
