[November] What are you reading?

Heh, I recall thinking the same thing at that point. Nope, gotta wait for Winds of Winter for more. Hopefully it's not too long this time....

I hope it's not going to be another 6 years. I'll have to go find a topic involving discussions of this. The way it was left, we don't have definite proof that this happened. I think what shocked me though was that this wasn't the last big reveal. I thought that was it, and yet the twists just kept coming, right to the last page.

H.L. Mencken Chresthomany. The first 30 minutes of any reading session are amazingly profound and interesting. Then I get desensitized to the depth of his cynicism and have to quit. It began as a theory that I could find common ground between Mencken, Thoreau, and de Tocqueville on American political philosophy. It's been... interesting.

Also, A Dance with Dragons. The ending is by far the best part of the book and effectively hooked me in for the next one.

Turns out I finished "War and Peace" a bit earlier than expected. The second epilogue felt might like the end of the "Return of the King" film - it was okay, but should have ended far sooner.

Anyway, on to the Black Company!

After finished reading A Dance with Dragons and Grave Peril of the Dresden Files. I am reading A Difference Engine by William Gibson and Bruce Sterling.

The language in Difference Engine is slowing down my reading, but I like it so far.

I finished The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay (incredible!) and am now starting The Windup Girl by Paolo Bacigalupi.

I recently read [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Tea-Black-Dragon-R-MacAvoy/dp/1585861979/"]Tea with the Black Dragon[/ame]. Odd, but interesting.

I also read Out of the Dark by David Weber. Terrible. Weber isn't worth reading anymore.
