Cower, mortal, and gaze lightly upon THE POSTER'S aspect.

You know, I've semi-lurking around here for years, and Crothian's post count is legend.

I can't imagine the amount of time he spends just here posting things. I mean is it his job or something? Does someone pay him to do it? If so, How do I get that job?

As far as the thread goes...erm...ah...

It seems like the logical consequences for a party splitting up; what I want to know is why are a samurai and a ninja not trying to kill each other?

Because they're probably no real ninja and samurai, but only people with levels in those classes. Or the ninja is really good at disguising the fact that he's a ninja (they tend to be good at that, or they tend to be dead). Or the samurai and ninja serve the same lord.

I'd call him the Ninjamancer!

Actually, no one would call him anything, because they'd never see him. You'd just be wondering where the hell all these zombies are coming from, and the Ninjamancer is hiding in the shadows, animating dead and laughing at you from beneath his ninjamancer mask.

Those guys are incredible. Their aptitude at killing and raising the undead is legendary. They strike from the shadows, kill you, and then raise you as one of the undead, and noone will notice anything, not even you!

Too quickly? Or notquicklyenough???

It sounds like you have a cool party. Honestly I'm not usually incredibly enthused about the myriad options available to 3.5 with all of the new books out there (or at least not enthused to how my players approach / use them), but you seem to be actually be putting them to great use. Bravo!

If you're worried or upset at all about the Samurai splitting of from the rest of the party, talk to the player. Obviously everything pretty much worked out OK, but maybe in the future you should have some sort of formal agreement among the players to follow group consensus, possibly allowing that every player get their turn at the helm, so to speak. So, if the rest of the group wanted to go down the tunnel, well on a 3 to 1 vote they should usually head don the tunnel. However, to avoid a situation where one player is always voted down there should be something that allows each player to get their way at least sometimes. Roll off for it, perhaps? Have every player roll a d20 and high roll decides, fall back on a straight vote if there's a tie (any tie). It's fair (or, at least, random), and will usually give the majority the say, but every player has at least a chance of getting their way.

Someone should totally write up a Ninjromancer PrC.

Let's get the basics out of the way:

d20 hd
12+Int skill points
All skills are class skills
Full spellcasting progression (ninja and necromancer levels are counted, too)
All ninja class abilities continue to get better.
Any other three kinds of awesome.

Now, how's going to host the Ask A Ninjamancer Webstream?
