NWN: How did they balance things out?

Anyone know how Bioware balanced things out for those classes that have special abilities taken out because of the game's limitations? For example since there aren't any mounts, Paladins would lose their Special mount.

Anyone found the answer to my question at a player's guide. Looks like Holy Weapon is taken out too for Paladins. Ouch.
 

That's not all. No detect evil, no mount...forgeting a couple things. Rangers got a whole host of new abilites. I guess Paladins got the shaft in NWN. :)

BTW, don't check the forums, check the offical site and click on "For Players"
 



That and the fact that Handle Animal ( yeah, the skill ) is actually a Charm ( Or Dominate if you roll high enough ) in NwN. At will, since it's a skill. I was surprised but that's the best way to implement it in game when I think about it.
 

Oh yeah, and it appears their animal companions are as strong as the Druid's, from the way it's written in the Game book.

Rangers look much stronger ( and interesting ) in NwN.
