NYC Game Day October 11th 10am *FINAL* (Planning)

As for the Gameday itself.

I've ordered 2 RPGA Adventures. I'm definatly DMing one of them. They are sanctioned events that will earn you RPGA points and I should have membership packets with that. I'd like someone else to DM the second one so i could play.

Anyone intrested?

I'll edit the primary post sometime tommorow with the titles of the adventures.

Mornings argh

I can not get up in the morning, but I should be able to come down for the Vampire thing, it's been about 4-5 years since I played vampire, would that be an issue? Should I come dressed up?

I hope my work schedule can fit that date. Knowing myself I will forget.

So you check out Kings Games because I mentioned it? Hope to see someone there, I will bring some beer.

-de

P.S. Ask the owners if they would mind, if yes, I will bring wine and say I'm trying to be in character ;-)

The other reason was that it was a block from my house and AvQ wanted me to join his VtM game on tuesdays.

Dema, we arent doing a Larp......its over the table RPG.... heh. no wine, sorry.

To answer a few questions that I seemed to have missed, lemme clarify:
This is just a VtM single session with relatively powerful characters.
The game will use mostly VtM core rules, except for the char creation.
Characters as you have seen, are more powerful than normal at startup.
The game is going to be a tabletop face to face session for roleplayers.
Don't bother dressing up, unless if you want to look way out of place.
I have a five player limit on my sessions - I know my own limits well ;-)
I'm going to get there 2 hours early, so that you can make characters.
First five players that sucessfully complete their characters get to play.
If you're going to make a character yourself, do msg me about it first,
so that I can confirm that you completed the creation process properly.
Since its a single session game, its going to be a relatively quick set up,
then I'll try my best to get your characters straight into the action.
I'm going to try to throw your characters into a relatively challenging
adventure, so expect a decent mix of both combat and roleplaying.
Game will continue until people get tired, sleepy or otherwise have to go.
If that doesn't happen, I'll probably get tired around 2 or 3 AM ... so,
make sure to bring money for food or pack your own meals with you.
BTW, if we don't finish on one session and you guys want to continue
the adventure, we can arrange a second game day to finish things off.
However, I'm currently running one VtM campaign online and about to
start a face to face campaign at Kings Games, so I can tell you now,
I won't be able to make this single session game into a lasting campaign.
I hope that I've gotten through all the questions that I can think of ...
If you have questions, MSG me on AIM/ICQ/MSN/Yahoo s/n: AvangionQ
Hope to hear from prospective players soon.

Mike, i forget which two busses cross the bridge but I belive they both take you to 86th Street where you can catch the R Train.... yadda, yadda...

BUS?! TRAIN?!!

Dude, I live in Staten Island. The boondocks. We DRIVE here, man. ;) But thanks for the public transportation directions.

:)

I just Spoke to Alex this Morning and Myself and possibly another member of "The Long Island Gamers Guild"/"League of Extrodinary Gamers" would be happy to come out and run some semi Sponsored events.
I can Run Munchkin and Buffy the Vampire Slayer RPG during the day/evening and possibly some Munchkin D20 or something to that effect (I can call upon my demo team) hell we even have Prize support.

Shoot Alex an E-mail and get my Email address...
We can talk more off list.

We ran a Game day a few Months ago and it did not produce anyone
I hope you can find the flaw that made my programing low show.

Dregg

The flaw is a low number of gamers in NYC.
I'm at KG right now.
What time do you want to run buffy and munchkin? I'll add it to the primary thread so any intrested parties can schedule themselves.

And yanno, if this whole thing ends up being open....thats fine. I'm just concernred with having people show up.

I seriously dont recommend driving here!
The parking is horrendus. I dont want you running outside to refill the meter every hour. Or parking 2 blocks away in a residential area, IF you can find parking.

Alex, the owner disagrees. He says, and I quote. "It is much easier to drive here and park 5 blocks away then to take public transportation and transfer sevral times. A drive from SI here is only 20 min."

If you decide to drive, take the Belt to Coney Island Ave. Once you get off at that exit head AWAY from the ocean. Towards the city. Drive to Kings Highway (if you pass the KFC and Ballys you've gone too far.) and hang a right. Then 2 blocks to E 12th and another right.

Yes People is a good thing!
We need to breathe Life intot he RPG aspect of Kings Games...

Not to sure on times yet, I'm moving this weekend and My mind is fragile =)
Prolly looking at Munchkin from 1-4 and Buffy from 4 till 8:00pm

I can just hang in the rafters as well... I'm hoping my Team is not too burnt on the last time we were out there. 12 hours and we only Demoed with 2 people... they played several games, but just 2 people.

I'm gonna advertise in my circles too and hope to get Alex a full house, get his RPG stock sold and talk him into a bigger selection.
