Octopus has land speed of 20'

How can an octopus be as fast as a halfling on land? What do you think a more reasonable land speed for the octopus would be? 10'? 5'? 1'?

I'd go with 5. I've seen an octupus on land and it was not breaking any land speed records.

Well, he did go on land to retrieve a crab, and then took the crab back under the water with him. The crab didn't seem to slow him down, so it must have fallen under his light load limit.

I think the 20' speed is Underwater. On the ocean floor, or wahtever, Octopi can move easier, smoother.
