That is hands down the best theory I've heard so far.

Why is that same to asume? Maybe the others were told that by Dharma so as no to think of trying to escape the island, or as a way to manipulate thier minds. "we are the only ones that know where this place is so do what we say" type of manipulation.

I wouldn't be surprised to see an episode detailing the history of the Others, where we find out they're just as clueless about what's really going on as the main cast.

"Group 1, you push a button every hour or so. Don't ask why."

"Group 2, you monitor all the other groups and send us messages through this tube. Don't ask why."

"Group 3, you need to find all the children on the island and keep them at your base. Don't ask why."

Well, there is a new supposed love interest for Jack, so there's going to be new cast members that likely will have a past.

Libby is likely to be in a couple of flashbacks, and maybe even a on the island vision or two like Ana Lucia was the episode after she died.

People not talking causes most of the problems, but it does in many shows (24 is good for some of this drama/stupidity as well). And I think they need to do something for Charlie to redeam himself after almost burning the tents and what he did to Sun. Then they can kill him off just as you're liking him again
