It makes me happy to see the ransom model being used :) I like that a lot.

This seems to be something that is being used more. It is a good thing as you can have quality people create the stuff you WANT to play (as opposed to just buying a supplement that might use one or two pieces). If no one puts down the coin the person doesn't have to invest the time to create it with no return. Although this wouldn't work for every business model, it is definitely good as the product hostage is a recognizable product that nostalgia alone is driving interest in...

Well, the project hit 100% funding. Time to schedule work!

Sweet! Have at thee!

(Once upon a time, as a mental exercise, I used the FASERIP core rules to make a Car Wars clone of a game, and it worked like a charm. I can't wait to see what you do with it!)

You can get your first peek (the FASERIP Basic System Master Table) here

That's pretty damned cool, Phil. I can't wait until you release this sucker. I'm pretty sure that Adamant will release FASERIP material once it's open and available.

You are far too kind to me!

Except, you switched the axies!

How will this compare to Gamma World 3rd ed? Or Star Frontiers' Zebulon'g Guide task resolution? Is there a base premise or game "theme" in mind to use in lieu of superheroes?

Thanks.

I won't start any serious work for a bit over a week but I expect the full project to be finished and released by the end of this month.

Absolutely made that switch (and a few others). Just one of the changes made that will make FASERIP different, but still compatible, so that this entire project works as intended.

The basic idea is as a supers toolkit. It will be open (not sure what license will be used) so others can take the system and adapt it to other needs.

This is going to be great fun..if for nothing other than nostalgia. Do you have a working title for the system (FASERIP Superheroes or will it be just FASERIP)?
