OGL Wound Points & Vitality?

Is there a game that uses Wound Points and Vitality that is Open Game Content?

The only place that I've found such rules in Star Wars which is, of course, all closed (and thus unusable).

Is Dungeon open content? I know they released that Pulp Heroes game using VP/WP as the mechanic, but I'm not sure if that article was considered 'open' or not.

If a Dungeon or Dragon magazine issue will contain any OGC, it will also contain a OGL. It only happened twice. Other than that, all magazines' content are closed.

I could not find the exact rules in any OGC, but just an idea: it is not exactly the same, but could the Massive damage from d20 modern work for you?

the basic idea is pretty much the same but it IS OGC.

I like the MD rule from d20Modern, you keep the "abstract heroics"
of hit points, but being hit is ALWAYS potentially bad (especially if
you're being shot at).

As it is OGC, it's free to use. :D

Might want to take a look at the Tome of Sorrows (see my sig). It is a free Midnight suppliment, and it includes a Health/Battle Point system very similar to Wounds/Vitality. The rules are not setting specific, so you may get some use out of it even if you don't run Midnight.

Stargate SG-1 RPG Designates Chapters 5 to 11 as Open Game Content (except for the Product Identity stuff which is mainly Stargate names, places, characters, etc). That includes the Character Creation chapter that talks about how Wounds and Vitality work. Although I don't own it I imagine Spycraft might have the same Open Game Content.

Ok, pg. 159 of Spycraft list out how Wound Points and Vitality work. This is in Chapter 6 and pg. 286 says everything in Chapter 6 is open content.

So, unless someone has heard of WotC suing AEG recently, it should be safe to use (I think).

I wonder how they got away with using that in the first place though...
