Olympics 2026 Thread

I have been flipping between the two channels showing it, but it does seem like they only show the favorites like skating and snowboarding. Today, there was some freestyle cross-country skiing which seems new and some kind of figure skating I'm not sure about. I did catch some woman's hockey. Not sure what I would want since I do not chase it down online or on pay channels. I do like the biathlon with skiing and shooting. They show the luge but not skeleton. The new ski-mountaineering looks fun.

It appears Lindsey Vonn (sp?) had quite a bad spill and probably is done with the games now.

Well, im from the frozen north near neighbor of Canada. We got lots of ice half the year here and not much to do. So, its become a favorite winter pastime. I think I like it because it feels more like a skill game than athleticism, so I like watching the competition.

It's the two weeks every two years I get uncharacteristically patriotic and really into sports, rather than being a casual fan of "local team." We subscribed to Peacock because my wife wanted to see an NFL playoff game, and it's paying off; we'll cancel when the month is over. Curling is a favorite, and both US-Estonia and US-Norway were fun to watch. Really thought Norway might have pulled out the win until that last end. Watched France-Sweden women's hockey too, France never had a chance, but I love some scrappy hockey.
