Omata, The Bringer Of The Rain And Rainbow

Clay_More: That is actually a really doo idea, I wish I thought of it.

As for the serpent: 32 HD, Prismatic Sphere, Spray and Wall 3/day (at will is to powerfull), Waterbreathing, the Summoning suggested by Omata himself, Electricity immunity, Acid and Cold resistance (20 to 30), Damage Reduction 20/+5, and SR equal to 11+CR. Additionally, I suggest adding between 5 and 15 psionic powers over those that regular couatls have.

i would like to see the "can cast spells as a 9 level sorcerer" changed to a 10-20 level psion and control weather/water power

okay, a couatl with 27 hd (thats its max in the MM) with the add ons of prismic spray/shpere/wall 3/day and rainbow pattern at will mayde, summon couatls 1d4+2/ day, control weather or water ?? 3/ day and this is a long shot but a psionic blast 1/day (i don't know how to do it thow)

that's not exactly what i meant. ;) i meant, that Omata would be *at least* as powerful as a regular couatl - and definitely a lot more than that. :)

Perhaps as a matter of comparison an enlightened poster with knowledge of such things could post some baseline 'crunchy bits' of the abyssal lords so we can produce a being of similar power :)

(Only a suggestion but it make make scaling the figure easier)

O.K, here goes nothing.

Most of the fiend lords have between 30 and 40 HD (With Juiblexx only having 26).
Therefore I suggested 32 for Omata.

I suggested Prismatic Sphere, Spray and Wall 3/day, because he is the 'bringer of the rainbow'.
This combined with the stuff he gets for being a couatl brings him on par with the weaker lords.
Therefor I suggested adding between 5 and 15 new psionic powers to his repetoire. Remember that the psionic abilities of couatl are useable at will, and there are quite a few of them that a very powerful (such as genesis and thrall). I suggested giving him a DR of 20/+5 because that is roughly equal to that of most of the fiend lords. I suggested giving him electricity immunity and cold and acid resistance as most of the fiend lords have one or two immunities, and a few resistances.

The SR calculation is the same that is generally used for creatures such as dragons and outsiders. For example if he is a CR 25, he would have an SR of 36.

In addition to these abilities, I suggest we give him all psionic attack and defense modes (including mind-blast, let's beat the illithids at their own game :p). And increasing his sorcerous caster level to 20.

These subtle things make him an equal to most of the evil lords, with perhaps the exception of Demogorgon, Orcus, and of course Asmodeus (and Lucifer :p).

Does this make sense to anyone besides me?
