Omata, The Bringer Of The Rain And Rainbow

Of course he can constrict gargantuan creatures, all he needs to do is go around the neck...

As for comparable power to the Arch Fiends, they range in CR from 22 (Juiblexx, the weakest) to 29 (Asmodeous, the most powerfull). And Omata is about equal to the mid level arch fiends, so a CR of 24 to 26 is about right, and that is even if he casts spells as a 20th level sorcerer, and manifests powers as a 20th level psion. But we really have to get rid of that *all* that has snuck in there, as it is mighty unbalancing.

I may take a stab at this using my Kerubim template to see how he comes out. If you don't mind, Omata and Boz...?

I'll have it up tomorrow or Sunday. I suppose I'll have to read up on my Psionics Handbook...

not at all, go for it. :) i'd like to compare the two versions and see what changes i should make.

LOL :)

i don't think we're going to make anyone as powerful as the big A himself, but you never know...

AFAIK there is only one non-deific creature from the outer planes (not counting the Far Realms) that can beat Asmodeous in a fight, I won't tell you who he is, but his name starts with L, and he has the same alignment as the lord of the ninth... Of course that is just in my campaign... :D

Omata the Kerubim

Just started on him this afternoon and ran into a problem with his class.

From what I've read in this thread, he sounds like he'd be either a Psion (Shaper), going with his whole rainbringing nature and quasi-creator aspect; or he'd be a Psion (Seer), given that he is spying across the Planes.

Which one do you guys think is most appropriate. I'm asking because I need to know what additional skills to select for him (he'll be a 20th level Psion), not to mention how I should increase his ability scores...

Thanks!

Hmm, if you use that argumentation, pretty much every god should almost be a Shaper (since pretty much every god has a creative aspect to it, with a few exceptions).
If only there were some rules in the Core books that described a good Water Elementalists, that didn't necesarily have alot to do with Cold. That might have been a fitting class.
