On the bright side there are only a finite number of 70's shows to make a movie about

The Dukes movie could be cool. Let's face it, the series existed solely for car chases and stunts. It could be a fun popcorn movie.

Which would be infintely better than Fast and the Furious and teh sequel whose name I cannot even speak (nor type). :) My viewing of this movie depends on who is playing Daisy. Daisy Fuentes maybe? Who cares if the accent is all wrong, everything else would be all right!

I figure we have a couple more yeras of 70s remakes, then a few years of westerns again, then we will have 80s remakes. The cyclic nature of the enetertainment industry cannot be ignored. Hopefully, harry potter and Lord of the Rings will mean that soon a trend will be high budget, well made fantasy movies.

SWAT is a remake? Which begs the most important question, how many movies can Collin Farrel Star in?

Plus how did Ashton Kutcher become such a big star? My only theory is the devil does exist.

This is what I want to know. For cripes sake, the guy TURNED DOWN the roles of Superman and Batman. Why the hell was he offered those roles to begin with?!? It's insane.

As for the Dukes of Hazzard movie, while I loved the original series when I was a little tyke, I doubt it'll be good, considering that they want to cast Ashton Kutcher and Britney Spears. Thanks, but no thanks.

What I'm REALLY worried about, though, is the proposed Knight Rider film.

David Hasselhoff is the Anti-Christ!

Bigfoot from the various 'Bionic' series was played by Ted Cassidy, who was famous for both portraying Lurch in the Addams Family, as well as doing tons and tons of cartoon voices (the last of which was...well...Godzilla).

I'm not sure the SWAT even counts as a remake, per se. The only thing it has in common with the TV show was that they both portrayed a SWAT unit in Los Angeles. They were just capitalizing on the name. The Brady Bunch movie was intentionally referencing the TV series...in fact, wouldn't work without a knowledge of it. Many remakes just die a dog's death, anyhow, so it's not really that much of a concern.

Besides, I didn't hear anyone complaining about a Spiderman, Batman or Superman movie. :D
